I think the Sultan knows about us
A continuation of the Forever Sultan Universe, I think the Sultan knows about us expands on the video game aesthetics Sarp Kerem Yavuz initially adopted when designing his neon sculptures of undead Ottoman courtesans. The pixel art portraits of the various inhabitants that occupy this fictional universe exist as large-scale lightboxes, illuminating their environment like the desktop computer monitors of the 90s, in the dead of night. The title is a nod to the artist's Istanbul gallery being raided by the Turkish Ministry of Culture on account of artworks that "offend the legacy of the Ottoman Empire."
